Lakshya owns a salon in his village and has very less income his wife Hausa tells him that they should go to Mumbai where they can earn more. On their way to Mumbai Hausa gets lost in middle of their journey.

The movie is an entertaining and a cinematic journey of a morally-stricken Chief Minister who works efficiently and actively to help a beleaguered elderly singer who is yet to receive the government allotted flat applied for eight long years ago! The story line depicts originally of characters such as the CM, his wife, his PA, the Principle Secretary and many personnel from the assembly. Story revolves within the time period of afternoon 3 PM to 6 AM dawn during which it highlights the political decision making process and also gives us an insight to the unending mind games between politicians and bureaucrats within our system.

Balasaheb Nimbalkar, who is a well-respected personality in the society but he is love with a dancer, Sugandha Karadkar, who turns down his offer politely, but firmly. Sugandha wishes that her daughter Jayashree gets a good education gets married into a good family. So she makes Jayshree promise that she will never dance. Balasaheb somehow manages to confer the most prestigious dance award on Sugandha and she plans to dance in the award presentation ceremony. But she is hospitalized due to a heart attack and Jayashree dances instead of her, thus breaking her promise. Coincidentally, Balasaheb's foreign-educated son is present for the performance and falls for Jayashree. Balasaheb is enraged.
